Job description

This is an opportunity to join a growing technology business at the forefront of data, analytics, and AI innovation. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a key role in building scalable data platforms, enabling advanced AI capabilities, and helping shape engineering best practices within a collaborative, product-focused environment., Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Design, build and optimise scalable ETL/ELT pipelines across cloud-based data platforms
  • Contribute to data architecture, schema design and data modelling best practices
  • Support CI/CD processes, deployment automation and version-controlled development
  • Integrate AI and machine learning capabilities into production
  • Support the adoption of DataOps best practices
  • Mentor junior engineers and help develop engineering capability across the team
  • Work across a variety of cloud technologies, data platforms and modern engineering tools

Requirements

  • At least 3 years prior experience in Data Engineering, Data Platform Engineering or a similar role
  • Strong SQL and Python skills
  • Experience designing and developing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines
  • Strong understanding of data modelling
  • Experience working within cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS and/or GCP
  • Knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills with experience working across technical and non-technical teams, * Git
