Java / Kotlin Backend Developer - Hays

Overview In this role you will design, build, and maintain scalable Kotlin backend services that power personalized customer experiences within a global loyalty platform.You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver cloud-native solutions and improve architectural practices.The position offers exposure to modernDevOps practices, IaC, and data-driven features at scale.You will contribute to a collaborative, international environment and participate in a long-term, career-focused opportunity with a leading tech employer.Compensaciones / Beneficios 4 remote working days per week 27 days of annual leave annual salary review career development plan permanent direct contract international and technology-driven environment Responsabilidades Design, develop, and maintain Kotlin-based backend services Build and manage scalable infrastructure using Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes Operate in GitOps environments with Flux Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions Work with Google Cloud Platform services (BigQuery, GKE, Pub/Sub) Integrate APIs and ensure code quality with automated tests (Kotest, Testcontainers) Collaborate within agile processes (Scrum/Kanban) Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, architecture, and engineering practices Requisitos principales 4+ years of Backend Software Engineer experience Strong JVM experience, ideally Kotlin and ecosystem Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes Experience or interest in IaC, especially Terraform Familiarity with GitOps and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions) Experience with cloud services, preferably GCP API integration and management knowledge Ability to work in international, collaborative teams Strong problem-solving mindset and continuous improvement focus English proficiency for global collaboration collaboration problem-solving continuous improvement mindset Kotlin JVM Docker
