Senior Java Full Stack Developer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Full Stack Developer to join a complex enterprise technology environment in Downtown NYC. This is a hands-on engineering role for a senior developer with deep expertise in Java, Spring, Angular, REST APIs, Oracle/SQL, and modern DevOps practices.

The ideal candidate will have experience designing and developing scalable enterprise applications across the full software development lifecycle while working closely with Product, Engineering, Architecture, and DevOps teams., * Design, develop, test, and support scalable enterprise applications.

• Build high-quality solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Angular, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs and JSON-based services.
• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Develop secure applications following established SDLC/PDLC and secure coding standards.
• Create technical design documentation and participate in architecture and solution-design discussions.
• Perform unit, integration, and functional testing.
• Conduct peer code reviews and promote software engineering best practices and design standards.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Architecture, and DevOps teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, DevOps processes, databases, and application environments.
• Provide production support, root-cause analysis, incident resolution, and application troubleshooting.
• Operate as a senior individual contributor with limited supervision and strong independent technical judgment.

• 10+ years of software engineering or application development experience.
• Advanced hands-on development experience with Java 8+.
• Strong experience with the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Integration, and Spring Security.
• Hands-on front-end development experience with Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript ES6+, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Strong SQL and Oracle database experience.
• Experience developing and integrating REST APIs and JSON services.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools, including Jenkins, GitHub, and/or GitLab.
• Strong understanding of SDLC/PDLC, data modeling, software engineering principles, and design patterns.
• Experience with secure coding and application security practices.
• Strong experience in unit, integration, and functional testing.

Preferred Experience

• AWS or other cloud technologies.
• Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• WebSphere Application Server, Liberty, and MQ.
• NgRx and RxJS.
• Shell scripting.
• Python.
• AI-assisted software development tools, including Claude Code or similar coding assistants.
• Experience incorporating AI-driven development tools into enterprise software engineering workflows.
