Senior Data Analyst (Power Platform & Data Solutions)Fully Remote - Based in USAAbout Blue Water ThinkingGuided by our principles of value generation, continuous innovation, customer-centricity, and vested collaboration, Blue Water Thinking proudly supports our Federal clients in achieving their Agency goals.Founded by a decorated twenty-eight year Veteran of the United States Army, Blue Water Thinking understands and supports the mission of our Nation’s war fighters, Veterans, their families and caretakers.Leveraging our executive team’s military experience and private and public sector consulting expertise, Blue Water Thinking takes an integrated “one-team” approach and brings to bear best-fit solutions, thought leadership, and grit to meet our client’s transformational needs.Fueled by our values of integrity, respect, professionalism, stewardship and customer service, the Blue Water Thinking team understands the power of the human connection, collaboration, humility and loyalty to one another, our clients and industry partners.Lastly, our formula for success is simple: Build something good, take care of our people, keep our clients satisfied, nurture our work ethic and reputation, build long-lasting partnerships, enjoy what we do and give back as much as possible.Job DescriptionBlue Water Thinking is seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to support the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise data, automation, and reporting solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform.This role is responsible for developing and supporting Dataverse solutions, automating business processes, troubleshooting data integrations, and delivering reporting and analytics capabilities through Power BI.The ideal candidate will possess hands?on experience with Dataverse, Power Automate, Power Query, Power BI, Dataflows, and Power Platform Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) practices.The majority of data consumed by this role originates from enterprise applications, SharePoint, Excel workbooks, MicroStrategy exports, CSV files, and other file-based sources.Candidates should be comfortable working with diverse data sources and leveraging Power Platform tools to transform, manage, and deliver business solutions.Experience developing Power Apps solutions is highly desirable.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain enterprise data solutions using Dataverse, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, file-based data sources, and approved enterprise systems.Create and maintain Dataverse tables, relationships, business rules, security roles, and scalable data models.Develop and support Power Automate cloud flows, business process flows, and workflow automation solutions.Develop Power BI semantic models, datasets, dashboards, reports, and dataflows utilizing DAX and Power Query best practices.Troubleshoot and optimize Power Query transformations, dataflows, refresh processes, dataset performance, and reporting solutions.Integrate solutions with Microsoft 365 services, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Dynamics 365, and authorized external APIs.Support data ingestion, transformation, validation, and reporting processes from enterprise systems and file-based data sources.Deploy and manage Power Platform solutions across Development, Test, and Production environments using ALM best practices.Maintain technical documentation, release notes, test cases, solution diagrams, and support procedures.Provide Level II/III support, troubleshoot production issues, manage enhancements, and conduct user training and knowledge
