Job description

  • Translate high-level business requirements into detailed specifications including user stories, acceptance criteria, dependencies, assumptions, and success measures.
  • Facilitate requirements workshops and stakeholder discussions to validate solutions and confirm expected outcomes.
  • Break down initiatives into traceable features and work packages and progress discovery to backlog-ready items.
  • Own creation and maintenance of Jira epics, features, and stories with traceability from objectives to tasks.
  • Ensure tickets are actionable, prioritized, and meet DoR and DoD standards with accurate workflows and milestones.
  • Size epics and features appropriately and monitor backlog health across workstreams.
  • Own and maintain multiple team backlogs, lead refinement, and make trade-off decisions aligned to portfolio priorities.
  • Coordinate delivery planning with Scrum Masters, RTEs, Technical Leads, and engineers to determine estimates and sequencing.
  • Schedule and facilitate PI Objective alignment meetings and track progress from inception to validated delivery.
  • Report on progress, risks, and blockers and escalate impediments with the RTE.
  • Act as coordination point between Product Manager, Business Owners, Data Engineering, delivery teams, and technical leadership.
  • Engage stakeholders to define value, validate outcomes, and keep backlog aligned to priorities.
  • Confirm story completion against acceptance criteria and support stakeholder validation of outcomes.
  • Maintain concise documentation and release artifacts and promote standards of requirements quality and delivery governance.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Delivery Analyst role with accountability for requirements definition, backlog ownership, and delivery coordination.
  • Advanced hands-on Jira experience for planning, tracking, and dependency management across multiple teams.
  • Experience in Agile and/or SAFe environments including PI planning, backlog refinement, and cross-team coordination.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate requirements workshops and stakeholder alignment sessions.
  • Strong SDLC understanding and experience working with engineers, architects, and technical leads.
  • Preferred: Experience in Marketing Technology, CRM, CDP, marketing automation, or Data Engineering.
  • Preferred: Experience in enterprise technology delivery alongside product owners, RTEs, and architecture teams.
  • Preferred: Certifications such as SAFe POPM, CSPO, PSPO, Agile BA, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or AgilePM.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in information systems, business, marketing, data analytics, or related field.

Our client seeks a Product Owner - Marketing Systems and Business Analytics who will translate marketing technology and sales and marketing analytics initiatives into clear, delivery-ready work. The role will convert strategic objectives into well-formed requirements, structured backlogs, and traceable delivery plans for execution within a SAFe Agile framework. The position requires strong requirements engineering, stakeholder facilitation, and deep Jira and agile delivery competence.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $40.00 to $45.00/hr. w2, Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
