SAP MDG Finance Functional Consultant

We are seeking an experienced SAP MDG Finance Functional Consultant to support a major federal SAP S/4HANA modernization initiative. This role will be responsible for designing, configuring, and supporting SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) Finance solutions for enterprise financial master data across a complex SAP landscape. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP MDG Finance, SAP FI/CO, SAP S/4HANA, financial master data governance, and cross-functional integrations. You will collaborate with government stakeholders, finance organizations, and technical teams to improve data quality, establish governance standards, and ensure consistency across mission-critical financial processes. This position supports a high-visibility Department of Defense ERP modernization program and offers the opportunity to work remotely while contributing to one of the largest SAP transformations in the federal space., * Lead business process workshops and requirements gathering sessions focused on financial master data governance.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to document business requirements, business rules, and governance processes.
• Configure SAP MDG Finance, including:
• Data Modeling
• Process Modeling
• UI FPM Modeling
• Workflow Configuration
• Business Rule Framework Plus (BRF+)
• Configure change request workflows, validation rules, derivation rules, and approval processes.
• Support governance processes for:
• General Ledger (G/L) Accounts
• Cost Centers
• Profit Centers
• Internal Orders
• Company Codes
• Other financial master data objects
• Configure and support the Data Replication Framework (DRF) to manage master data distribution across integrated SAP environments.
• Support integrations utilizing:
• SOA Services
• Web Services
• IDocs
• Partner with Finance, Controlling, Procurement, Supply Chain, and technical teams to ensure accurate and consistent financial master data.
• Develop Functional Design Documents (FDDs), configuration documentation, and business process documentation.
• Perform Unit Testing, Integration Testing, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Troubleshoot SAP MDG Finance production issues and support ongoing enhancements.
• Participate in change management, process improvement, and deployment initiatives.
• Provide occasional on-site support as needed.

• Active Secret Clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of SAP Master Data Governance or SAP Finance experience (5-7+ years preferred).
• Demonstrated experience configuring:
• SAP MDG Finance
• Data Models
• Workflow Configuration
• UI FPM Modeling
• Business Rule Framework Plus (BRF+)
• Data Replication Framework (DRF)
• Strong understanding of SAP Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO) master data within SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience working with:
• General Ledger Accounts

• Profit Centers
• Internal Orders
• Company Codes
• Enterprise Financial Master Data
• Experience facilitating business workshops and gathering requirements.
• Experience creating Functional Design Documents and supporting end-to-end solution delivery.
• Experience supporting multi-system SAP landscapes and enterprise master data governance initiatives.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• U.S. Citizenship required., * Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA implementations.
• Experience supporting federal ERP modernization programs.
• Department of Defense (DoD) SAP program experience.
• Familiarity with:

• SAP MDG Certification preferred.
• SAP S/4HANA Finance Certification preferred.
• SAP FI/CO Certification preferred.
