turning that belief into deployed, compliant, sellable solutions, not slideware.About the roleWe are looking for a proactive, enthusiastic, and versatile Data Consultant to join our team in Spain.In this role, you will work at the intersection of technology, business, and the life sciences domains, with a strong focus on data migration projects.You will help translate customer requirements into structured technical logic and support the execution of migration and data-related activities in a controlled and compliant way.You will work with tools and platforms such as Python (Pandas, Prefect, Requests, …) SQL, Excel, Ubuntu/Linux, VS Code, Azure DevOps, GitHub, PuTTY/WinSCP, Jira, and Confluence to analyse data, define transformation logic, document approaches, and support project delivery.At the same time, success in the role depends on your ability to collaborate closely with clients and colleagues, communicate clearly, and challenge constructively when needed.This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical problem-solving with client interaction, and who wants to grow in a dynamic consulting environment within life sciences.As a Data Consultant, your responsibilities will include:Translating business and customer requirements into clear technical logic and structured migration or data-handling activitiesSupporting the design and execution of data migration and data processing tasks in a controlled, traceable, and compliant mannerWorking with data, logic, and processes to ensure tasks are performed accurately and in a controlled mannerCollaborating with clients and internal teams to understand needs, challenge assumptions, and propose the right approachPresenting technical solutions and explaining complex topics in a clear and accessible wayContributing to data quality, documentation, and governance best practicesWe offer this position in Spain.What makes you a great fit for this role?We are looking for someone who is comfortable working across both technical and business-focused tasks, and who enjoys being in the middle of collaboration, problem-solving, and delivery.To succeed in the role, you likely bring:A Master’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) or another quantitative fieldStrong proficiency in Python, including experience with version control, code sharing, and team-based development practicesAdvanced experience skills in Microsoft Office, including very good Excel skills and solid presentation skills in PowerPointA structured and analytical mindset, with the ability to turn requirements into clear logic and practical solutionsConfidence in working directly with customers, including asking questions, challenging constructively, and presenting solutionsCuriosity, a willingness to learn, and motivation to grow your experienceHigh attention to detail and a quality-focused way of workingA proactive, team-oriented attitude and the ability to work independently when neededAdditionally, it is an advantage if you have experience with:PuTTY/WinSCPJira/ConfluenceWorking in regulated environments, including GxPLife sciences domains such as clinical, quality, regulatory, laboratory, safety, and commercialData migration, data handling, or controlled process executionConsulting, client-facing work, or other roles where business and technology come togetherAt BASE, you work on meaningful, complex challenges at the intersection of technology, science, and business.We trust our people with real responsibility and support them in turning ambition into impact -
