Senior Data Engineer

Objectways is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain modern data platforms supporting analytics, reporting, machine learning, and business operations. Strong experience with the Google Cloud Platform ecosystem, ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehousing, and large-scale big data processing required., * Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows.

• Build and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and integration processes.
• Develop and maintain data models, data lakes, and data warehouse solutions.
• Design and optimize Spark and Hive SQL jobs for large-scale big data processing.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and data scientists to support reporting and AI initiatives.
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI.
• Implement data quality, governance, security, and monitoring frameworks.
• Optimize data processing performance and cost efficiency.
• Work with structured and unstructured data from multiple enterprise systems.
• Support cloud-based data platforms and modern analytics architectures on GCP.

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Strong SQL development and performance tuning skills, including Hive SQL.
• Experience with Scala and Apache Spark for distributed data processing.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including Google Cloud Storage and BigQuery.
• Experience building ETL pipelines using modern data engineering tools.
• Experience with data modeling for analytics and reporting.
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and security best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Lakehouse architectures.
• Experience with Power BI for dashboard and reporting development.
• Airflow, dbt, or similar orchestration tools.
• Experience supporting AI/ML and analytics workloads.
• GCP or Databricks certifications.
• Experience working in large enterprise environments.
