Android Developer

Your main focus is working on communication features in our app and maintaining a stable, secure and performing app. You’ll collaborate with other developers (Android, iOS and back-end), UX, Change Analyst, Product Manager and other stakeholders.

Next to this:

• You are (pro-)actively involved in refinement of stories.
• You write the corresponding unit and UI tests.
• You solve production incidents that occured in our app.
• You collaborate with a wider network of stakeholders to align your work with theirs. Your way of working is based on mutual respect.

• You have at least 3 years of experience developing Android apps.
• You’re familiar with our tech stack (see below).
• You are a strong developer who is intrinsically motivated and passionate about delivering high quality software.
• You are proactive and have experience working closely with the business, understanding their needs and translating them into effective technical solutions.
• You enjoy building screens and thinking about end-user experience, but also know the importance of maintaining the foundations.
• You keep yourself up to date with the latest developments around Compose and the Android ecosystem.
• You have a sharp mind and pragmatic attitude. You value keeping things simple.
• You take initiative and understand which decisions you can make yourself and when you need to consult with another developer or software architect.
• You’re a strong communicator, and you can easily get things done and involve your colleagues in what you want to achieve.
• You can express yourself in English, both spoken and written.
• Experience with Java/Jakarta EE is considered a strong plus.
• Experience with back-end development and collaborating across front-end and back-end domains is highly valued.
