Senior Data Scientist

We’re partnered with a high-growth fintech that has built something most lenders can only talk about: a truly connected dataset spanning marketing acquisition, underwriting, pricing, funding, and portfolio performance.

As a result, their Data Science team doesn’t operate in silos. This role sits at the intersection of growth, credit risk, and pricing strategy, using machine learning, experimentation, and advanced analytics to influence decisions across the full customer lifecycle.

You’ll own and evolve production models that shape:

• Lead valuation & acquisition strategy
• Credit approval and underwriting decisions
• Risk-based pricing
• Portfolio profitability
• Experimentation and decision optimisation

This is not a “build models and hand them over” environment. You’ll take solutions from concept through deployment and monitoring, partnering closely with Product, Engineering, and Business leaders.

• 4-8 years in Data Science within lending, fintech, banking, insurance or adjacent sectors
• Strong Python & SQL skills
• Experience building predictive models used for commercial decision making
• Exposure to credit risk, underwriting, pricing, customer value, marketing science, or decision science
• Experience deploying or monitoring production models
• Strong experimentation/A-B testing mindset
• Cloud experience (AWS preferred)
