Ruby on Rails Engineer (Senior or Mid-Level)

• As a Ruby on Rails Engineer (f/m/d), you’ll develop and improve our platform together with our Product and Engineering teams - from the first conversation about a new requirement all the way to production.
• You’ll work on features end-to-end and take ownership not only of your code, but also of the outcome it creates.
• You’ll actively contribute to technical discussions and code reviews, sharing your perspective while staying open to different approaches and solutions.
• You’ll work with our stack around Ruby on Rails, Heroku, PostgreSQL, Redis, Sidekiq, Git and AWS and help us continuously improve the way we build and operate our applications.
• You’ll design, build and consume REST APIs and contribute to reliable integrations across our platform.
• You’ll write clean, maintainable and well-tested code because quality and reliability matter - especially in a FinTech environment where our software supports real investment processes.
• You’ll have the opportunity to shape our still-growing production and operations setup and actively contribute your ideas instead of simply following an established playbook.
• Most importantly, you’ll look beyond the individual ticket. We want you to understand why we’re building something, challenge assumptions when necessary and work with the team to find the best solution.

To strengthen our Technology team, we are looking for a Ruby on Rails Engineer (Senior or Mid-Level) (f/m/d) who enjoys building reliable software, understanding the purpose behind it and shaping our platform together with the team. You’ll work on features end-to-end, contribute your ideas and help us continuously improve the technology behind our private markets platform., * You have solid professional experience with Ruby on Rails. Whether you’re already at Senior level or still growing into it is less important to us than your skills, mindset and the way you work with others.

• You’re comfortable working with technologies such as Heroku, PostgreSQL, Redis, Sidekiq, Git and AWS - or you’re curious and able to quickly get up to speed with tools you haven’t worked with before.
• You have experience building and consuming REST APIs and understand how modern web applications and integrations work together.
• Testing is a natural part of your development process and you care about building software that you and your teammates can rely on.
• You don’t just take a ticket and run with it. You want to understand the problem behind a requirement and aren’t afraid to ask “why?” before deciding on the solution.
• You work independently and take ownership, but you also know when to ask for help. In return, you’re happy to support your teammates when they need another perspective.
• You communicate openly and constructively. You can challenge an idea without making it personal and are just as comfortable receiving feedback as you are giving it.
• You keep a clear head when things get complex, approach unfamiliar challenges pragmatically and don’t lose sight of the bigger picture.
• You’re interested in the FinTech world and Alternative Investments and want to understand the impact your work has beyond the code itself.
• You’re based in Germany or genuinely open to relocating here and enjoy being part of a team that also spends time together in our Frankfurt office.
