Requirements

  • US Citizen with at least a current active Secret clearance. Additionally, the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance within 365 days.\n
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 2+ years of experience or a Master’s degree with 1+ year of experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.\n
  • Current baseline certification meeting IAT-II requirements (e.g. Security+) or higher.\n
  • One or more Microsoft Azure certifications - e.g., AZ-900, AZ-104, AZ-140\n
  • Experience managing system administration resources in a hybrid environment. This would include: Experience with Access Points, Disaster Recovery, Firewalls, IP Networking/Routing, O365,VDI, VPN, Windows OS, Windows Server. \n
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure - e.g., Active Directory, Entra ID, Automation, DNS, IaaS, Intune, Log Analytics, Sentinel, VMs.\n
  • Knowledge of cloud service types - e.g., IaaS, PaaS, SaaS\n
  • Attention to Detail: Strict adherence to classified handling procedures, hardware custody logs, and cybersecurity baselines.\n
  • Adaptability: Comfort pivoting between traditional on-premise hardware tasks and Azure Government cloud-hosted environments.\n, * Experience with System Administrator duties which include Domain Controller/Active Directory, File Server, Users and groups in active directory, Permissions, and GPOs.\n
  • Should be familiar with ACAS and SCAP/STIG.\n
  • Familiarity with virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere/ESXi, Hyper-V, or KVM).\n
  • Familiarity with command languages for job control - e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Azure CLI, Kusto, Python.\n
  • Analytical Troubleshooting: Ability to isolate hardware, operating system, network, and policy-driven issues quickly under operational conditions.\n
  • DoD Environment Awareness: Appreciation for the constraints of closed, classified networks where heavy enterprise automation or third-party orchestration tools cannot be deployed.\n
  • Customer Service: Professional, responsive communication with military, civilian, and contractor personnel.\n
  • Experience with Eglin AFB Remedy, DRA, and NENDR applications.\n

The Defense Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Microsoft Azure qualified \nSystem Administrator to work with our customer at Eglin AFB, FL. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Joint Staff J6 Joint Assessment Division (JAD) conduct Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) aligned assessments and assist us in maintaining a cloud-based network. The \nSystem Administrator will participate as a member of an integrated deployable team providing assistance during all phases of design, installation, and operation of Information System Servers and end user clients at JAD in-garrison and in deployable environments. \n \n \nPrimary Responsibilities:\n \n \n

  • Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support in a complex and growing DOD NIPR/SIPR Azure Cloud environment.\n
  • Monitor system/network performance; troubleshoot/resolve issues with systems, applications, and software.\n
  • Deploy cloud Infrastructures (IL2, IL4, IL6); migrate Windows Domains and Clients to and from the cloud.\n
  • Assist with DOD Cybersecurity compliance operations and remediate/mitigate security vulnerabilities.\n
  • Investigate and install DISA Cybersecurity alerts and notifications.\n
  • Support several deployed (CONUS/OCONUS) assessments annually (estimated 25% of workdays TDY).\n
  • Interact with customers and functional peer groups to gain understanding and cooperation regarding solution design, problem management processes, as well as approaches to planning and operations.\n
