Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 4+ years of software engineering experience
- 3+ years of embedded software development
- Strong C/C++ development experience in Linux and Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) environments
- Experience with hardware/software integration, testing, and Python-based test automation
- Knowledge of software architecture, distributed systems, BSPs, drivers, APIs, and design review processes
Nice To Have Requirements:
- Active Secret Clearance and/or experience supporting defense, aerospace, or mission-critical systems
- Experience with DO-178C, Linux device drivers, kernel development, OpenGL, FPGA, ARM/x86 processors, or RTOS platforms such as VxWorks, LynxOS, or Integrity, Insight Global’s client is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to support the development of mission-critical embedded software solutions. This individual will contribute across the full software development lifecycle, including requirements definition, software architecture, design, implementation, integration, testing, and ongoing support. The ideal candidate will have strong experience developing low-level software that interfaces directly with hardware, along with a proven ability to solve complex engineering problems, collaborate across disciplines, and deliver high-quality software for demanding real-world applications.
Benefits & conditions
$55/hr to $70/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
