Your Tasks

As a Senior UX/UI Designer in the newly established Retail Media team, you will take responsibility for the overall UX and UI direction of Retail Media solutions across web and app.

The role focuses on integrating third-party Retail Media applications into MediaMarktSaturn’s digital platforms in a way that feels consistent, useful and intuitive for customers. At the same time, you will help develop the Retail Media business by balancing customer needs, business objectives, partner requirements and the capabilities of our product and technology teams.

This is a hands-on, end-to-end Product Design role. You will contribute from early discovery and research through to ideation, design, delivery and continuous optimisation. You will also play an active role in shaping priorities and guiding topics within the wider product development process.

Key responsabilities:

• Own and develop the UX and UI perspective for Retail Media solutions across web and app.
• Translate customer needs, business objectives, partner requirements and technical constraints into clear product experiences.
• Work with data, product KPIs and customer insights to identify opportunities and support design decisions.
• Conduct or contribute to user research, usability testing and solution validation.
• Lead ideation activities and facilitate workshops with product, business, technology and partner stakeholders.
• Shape ideas and requirements throughout the product development process, from discovery to delivery.
• Create clear concepts, user flows, interaction designs and prototypes where appropriate.
• Support the preparation, creation and refinement of product tickets and other delivery artefacts.
• Contribute to planning, prioritisation, refinement and the continuous improvement of team processes.
• Work closely with the product teams in which Retail Media solutions are presented and used.
• Represent the customer perspective in product and business discussions.
• Build constructive relationships with stakeholders who have different, and sometimes conflicting, priorities.
• Ensure that solutions are usable, accessible, consistent and aligned with the wider digital experience.
• Contribute to the further development and use of design systems.
• Help shape the responsible and effective use of AI in design and product development, including AI-supported workflows and agents where they create meaningful value., You will be expected to contribute to product direction, connect different perspectives and ensure that commercial opportunities are implemented without compromising usability, trust or accessibility. Your work will influence both the quality of the customer experience and the future development of the Retail Media offering.

• Significant professional experience in UX/UI Design, Product Design or a related discipline; typically eight years or more.
• A broad understanding of the complete Product Design process, from discovery and research to delivery and optimisation.
• Experience designing digital products and services across web and app.
• Strong skills in user-centred design, interaction design, usability and prototyping.
• Experience using qualitative and quantitative data to inform decisions and measure outcomes.
• A good understanding of product KPIs, conversion and the relationship between customer value and business performance.
• Experience working with user research, ideation, workshops and cross-functional product teams.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to deal with complex or challenging situations.
• The ability to explain and defend design decisions while remaining open to different perspectives.
• A sound understanding of accessibility, inclusive design and design systems.
• A proactive and independent way of working, with the ability to create structure in complex environments.
• Strong business awareness and the ability to understand and represent different interests.
• A mature and considered approach to using AI in design and product development.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
