Java Software Engineer

• 7+ years hands-on software development experience
• Recent large financial industry is highly favorable and desired.
• Strong Java/J2EE development experience
• Spring Framework: Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Integration, Spring Data JPA
• RESTful web services + SOAP/XML/JSON
• JAXB/Jackson/Gson or similar JSON/XML binding
• JUnit and strong unit/integration testing experience
• Git, branching/merging, Bitbucket, Maven, Artifactory
• Experience with high-volume/distributed systems
• JVM internals and performance tuning
• MQ experience (WebSphere MQ or ActiveMQ)
• Familiarity with Splunk/Dynatrace or similar monitoring tools
• Object-oriented programming/design patterns
• Application security and defensive programming
• Front-end exposure to React, Vue, or Handlebars
• Groovy experience

Familiarity with AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor - this a major requirement any one of those tools is fine just someone who has used these tools recently
