Senior Ontology Data Modeler

We’re looking for a Senior Ontology Data Modeler to design and maintain enterprise ontologies, semantic data models and knowledge graphs within a large insurance environment., * Design and maintain enterprise ontologies, semantic models and knowledge graphs

• Define business entities, relationships, hierarchies and semantic rules
• Develop conceptual, logical and physical data models
• Translate business requirements and existing data logic into scalable semantic solutions
• Map ontology concepts to physical data sources and validate model outputs
• Manage ontology artifacts through version control, testing and controlled deployment
• Support data governance, metadata, lineage and data quality initiatives

Experience needed: Strong experience across data modelling, data architecture and ontology or semantic modelling. You should have hands-on knowledge of RDF, RDFS or OWL, knowledge graphs and conceptual, logical and physical data models., * Strong experience in data modelling, data architecture and semantic modelling

• Hands-on knowledge of RDF, RDFS, OWL or related semantic technologies
• Experience designing ontologies and enterprise knowledge graphs
• Strong SQL skills and experience with modern cloud data platforms
• Experience within insurance, ideally annuities, would be highly beneficial
• Experience with Timbr, Amazon Neptune, Stardog, Neo4j or a similar platform
• Familiarity with Collibra, Alation, Microsoft Purview or other governance tools
• Exposure to AI, GraphRAG, semantic search or agentic AI initiatives would be advantageous
