Job description

You will serve as the primary technical authority for IBM MAS deployments, leading architecture decisions across the full MAS ecosystem:

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) 8/9 and all subcomponents - including Manage, Mobile, Monitor, Health, Predict, Visual Inspection, MongoDB, Suite Licensing Service (SLS), IBM Db2, and Certificate Manager - with expertise in air-gap (disconnected) installation scenarios
  • Lead and automate MAS CLI-based deployments on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP), developing repeatable automation frameworks and deployment runbooks
  • Architect and deploy multi-environment MAS landscapes (Dev / Test / UAT / Prod) including AppPoint sharing strategies via SLS topology design
  • Advise and collaborate with client cloud teams on MAS deployments across AWS, Azure, Azure Government (.gov), and IBM Cloud, with working familiarity of Google Cloud and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
  • Design and implement IBM MAS Manage database tiers using DB2, Oracle, and SQL Server - covering sizing, Maximo-specific configuration, index optimization, and performance tuning
  • Architect and manage IBM MAS Manage CI/CD pipelines leveraging Collections and Package Manager integrated with Git-based repositories (GitHub, Azure Repos, Bitbucket) for automated build, test, and deployment of configurations and customizations
  • Drive issue resolution through IBM support channels, authoring and managing PMR/Case tickets with structured problem documentation, log analysis, and escalation management

You will lead and mentor technical teams throughout project delivery

  • Lead delivery teams of technical architects, consultants, and client IT staff across MAS implementation workstreams
  • Define and enforce technical standards, deployment checklists, and architecture governance across engagements
  • Coach junior architects and consultants on MAS architecture patterns, OpenShift operations, and IBM support best practices
  • Partner with project managers and functional leads to translate business requirements into technical architecture decisions

You will also, throughout your work, have opportunities to:

  • Support client sales origination, RFP responses, and solution architecture for new IBM MAS opportunities
  • Contribute to Accenture’s IBM MAS technical community of practice, developing reusable assets, accelerators, and point of view documents
  • Drive a positive impact in the communities where we work and live

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting IBM Maximo
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with Maximo Application Suite (MAS) 8/9 and its subcomponents, including demonstrated expertise with air-gap / disconnected installation methodologies
  • Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience with IBM MAS CLI deployment on Red Hat OpenShift, including development of deployment automation scripts and runbooks
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience (minimum 10 years’ relevant experience), * experience working with client cloud teams to deploy IBM MAS on two or more of the following platforms: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Azure Government (.gov), Google Cloud, IBM Cloud, or Oracle Cloud
  • experience designing and managing multi-environment IBM MAS landscapes, including SLS topology planning for AppPoint license sharing across environments
  • experience deploying and tuning IBM MAS Manage on DB2, Oracle, and/or SQL Server databases, including Maximo-specific configuration and performance optimization
  • experience with IBM MAS Manage Collections and Package Manager, including integration with Git-based repositories (e.g., GitHub, Azure Repos) for CI/CD automation
  • demonstrated experience working directly with IBM Support via PMR / Case ticket management, including log collection, problem documentation, and escalation handling
  • Experience with client-side and cloud networking sufficient to troubleshoot IBM MAS, Maximo Mobile, and public portal connectivity issues (e.g., ingress, certificates, load balancers, firewall rules)
  • Experience deploying and troubleshooting Java customizations within IBM MAS Manage, including configuration of prerequisite build environments and dependency management
  • Experience supporting Java upgrade migrations within IBM MAS Manage customizations, including transition from Java 11 to Java 17 and Java 25
  • Hands-on experience installing and configuring Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP), including subcomponents such as OpenShift Data Foundation (ODF/OCS), Cert-Manager, and cluster networking
  • Deep familiarity with IBM MAS AppPoint licensing mechanics and their downstream implications on end-user security group configuration, role assignment, and license consumption reporting
  • Experience in an external consulting or professional services delivery role, including client-facing delivery at Manager or Senior Manager level
