Site Reliability / Java Developer

job summary: We are seeking an experienced SRE / Java Developer to join our engineering team in Phoenix, AZ. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining application reliability, optimizing automated deployments, and implementing modern Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our web applications remain scalable, high-performing, and resilient.

location: Phoenix, Arizona job type: Contract salary: $45.25 - 55.25 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors

responsibilities:

• Develop, scale, and maintain robust web applications using Java/J2EE technologies.
• Build and manage CI/CD deployment pipelines using GitHub and GitHub Actions.
• Implement monitoring and logging strategies using Splunk and ELK to drive application observability.
• Participate in system troubleshooting, incident management, and root cause analysis to maintain high availability.

qualifications: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of professional experience developing web applications with Java/J2EE.

Demonstrated hands-on experience setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines via GitHub and GitHub Actions.

Direct experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk and the ELK stack.

Solid understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) concepts and operational best practices.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with cloud platforms and cloud-native application deployment.

Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and containerization concepts.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-team collaboration skills.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
