  • Lead development of event-driven services using Apache Kafka (producers, consumers, streaming patterns, schema evolution)
  • Own API strategy for RESTful services, ensuring consistent JSON modeling, backward-compatible versioning, and strong API governance
  • Mentor team members and contribute to engineering standards, design reviews, and coding best practices

Data Migration, ETL, and Data Management

  • Design and implement ETL pipelines for structured/unstructured data using tools such as Python-based pipelines, Spring Batch, or cloud-native ETL frameworks
  • Lead data migration efforts for legacy-to-cloud or system-to-system transitions (incremental loads, bulk loads, validation, reconciliation)
  • Establish data quality, profiling, and governance practices
  • Work with clinical data formats, mapping, transformations, and normalization (FHIR resources, HL7 v2 segments, CCD/C-CDA documents)

Cloud, DevOps & SecDevOps

  • Build and maintain CI/CD automation (unit tests, integration tests, SAST/DAST, artifact provenance, policy gates)
  • Deploy and operate services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Build, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, IAM, Secret Manager, etc
  • Drive SecDevOps practices: threat modeling, secure coding, dependency scanning, secrets management, container hardening
  • Implement observability frameworks (OpenTelemetry, tracing, dashboards, alerts, SLOs)

Healthcare/EHR Integration

  • Integrate microservices with EHR systems using HL7 v2, FHIR, SMART on FHIR, and standard healthcare APIs.
  • Support workflows across patient data exchange, interoperability, and HIPAA-aligned data flows.
  • Collaborate with compliance and security teams to implement regulatory safeguards., Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with all federal, state and local laws. Related Jobs AI Software Developer - All Levels Remote Leidos
