Job description
This role focuses on building and integrating automated robotic cells from schematic and cell drawings through to final assembly, testing, and field support. You will lay out full cells, wire from controllers to robots, and support mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic integration to deliver complete automation systems for a variety of end customers. Responsibilities
- Read schematics, blueprints, and cell drawings and use them to lay out complete robotic cells.
- Wire robotic cells from controllers to robots, including 480V electrical layout and connections.
- Perform automation systems project builds, including mechanical assembly, cutting, painting, and light fabrication or modification as needed.
- Handle pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical connections and provide integration support throughout the build.
- Support installation, mounting, and troubleshooting of vision equipment used within the automation systems.
- Assist with system power-on activities, validate that the build meets specifications, and perform troubleshooting during integration.
- Tear down completed systems and prepare equipment for shipment, including packing and documentation support as required.
- Provide field installation support at customer sites for new systems.
- Provide field support for existing systems, including troubleshooting, diagnosis, and resolution of mechanical and electrical issues.
- Work on different robotic assembly and system integration projects, typically focusing on the same cell or area for several weeks at a time.
- Follow project instructions and directions for each unique cell build, adapting to different requirements for different end customers.

Work Environment
The work takes place in an extremely clean, safe, and open industrial environment that is non-cluttered and well-organized. The company operates on a deadline-based schedule and expects reliability and focus, while also providing training for individuals who bring the right attitude and aptitude. Standard shifts currently include a first shift from Monday to Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with extended hours when busy from Monday to Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays as needed from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. There is also a second shift from Monday to Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., with extended hours when busy from Monday to Thursday, 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., Fridays 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., and occasional Saturday work on first-shift hours. You will work with robotic cells, controllers, vision equipment, and industrial electrical systems in a professional automation shop setting. - Ability to perform mechanical assembly, cutting, painting, and light fabrication or modification.
- Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical connections and integration support.
- Ability to support system power-on, validation of build, and troubleshooting during integration.
- Capability to support field installation and field troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ownership and use of personal tools appropriate for industrial assembly and wiring work.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Wire panel experience is a strong plus.
- Experience with robot builds is highly desirable.
- Comfort working from detailed blueprints, schematics, and cell drawings for automation systems.
- Ability to follow structured instructions while also working independently once direction is given.
- Willingness to learn and be trained on company-specific processes and standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills for diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues in the field.
