Full Stack Developer

About the OpportunityAn innovative technology company specialising in secure AI infrastructure is looking for two Full Stack Engineers to develop and maintain applications supporting AI governance and high-stakes decision-making across healthcare, finance, defence, and other regulated sectors. You will work across mobile, web, backend, and AI-enabled systems, delivering secure, scalable, production-ready software. Key Responsibilities Develop end-to-end features across mobile, web, and backend applications. Build mobile applications using Flutter/Dart and web platforms using React/TypeScript. Develop APIs and backend services using TypeScript/Node.js, Firebase Cloud Functions, and Python/FastAPI. Design secure data models using Firestore, PostgreSQL, and pgvector. Integrate AI capabilities, including LLMs, speech transcription, summarisation, and RAG. Maintain automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and production deployments. Apply security-first practices, ensuring data privacy, access control, and UK GDPR compliance. Collaborate with product and research teams to deliver reliable software.

Essential Skills and Experience 3+ years of experience building and delivering full-stack products. Strong experience in at least two of Flutter/Dart, TypeScript/Node.js, and Python. Production experience with Firebase or a comparable backend platform. Knowledge of APIs, databases, authentication, and secure application development. Experience with Git, pull requests, automated testing, and CI/CD. Ability to work independently and take features from specification through to production.

Desirable Experience React, TypeScript, and modern web development. LLM integrations, RAG, Whisper, vLLM, or Ollama. PostgreSQL/pgvector and on-premises deployments. Healthcare technology, NHS standards, or regulated environments. Docker, Playwright, and mobile release pipelines.

Technical EnvironmentFlutter, Dart, Riverpod, React, TypeScript, Firebase, Node.js, Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, pgvector, self-hosted LLMs, GitHub Actions, Docker, pytest, and Playwright. We are looking for proactive engineers with a strong focus on security, code quality, and automated testing, who are comfortable working across multiple products in a fast-moving environment.
