Warehouse Engineer

The Warehouse Engineer designs and optimizes warehouse layouts and processes to maximize efficiency, space utilization, and service quality. This role focuses on planning product flow and handling systems, applying lean concepts, and driving continuous improvement across warehousing operations., * Design and plan the internal layout of the warehouse to ensure efficient use of space and resources.

• Develop comprehensive warehouse designs by planning layout, product flow, and product handling systems.
• Apply lean concepts to streamline processes and improve overall process flow efficiency.
• Organize, manage, and control warehousing operations, including reception, storage, order preparation, and shipments in alignment with SPS principles.
• Measure and analyze warehousing performance in terms of cost and service levels, and implement corrective actions based on findings.
• Lead and manage projects focused on designing and optimizing warehousing processes.
• Continuously review and refine warehouse layouts and workflows to support operational and business objectives., This role is based in a warehouse facility located in Fairfield, OH. The Warehouse Engineer works closely with operations teams in an active warehousing environment that includes reception, storage, order preparation, and shipping activities. The position involves regular on-site presence to observe workflows, validate layouts, and support implementation of process improvements.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse design and optimization.
• Proficiency in computer-aided design and drafting software.
• Strong skills in warehouse layout design, facility layout, and product flow planning.
• Experience in warehouse optimization and process improvement initiatives.
• Proficiency with Microsoft tools (such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
• Proficiency in SAP for managing and analyzing warehousing operations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of database systems, such as SQL and similar technologies, is a plus.
• Ability to measure, analyze, and interpret warehousing performance metrics related to cost and service.
• Experience applying lean concepts within warehouse or logistics environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams on warehouse projects.

This is a Contract position based out of West Chester, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $42.00/hr.
