VMware Cloud Engineer

We are seeking a VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) Engineer to support the deployment, configuration, upgrades, and migration of enterprise VMware environments. This hands-on role works alongside senior engineers to implement VCF 9, troubleshoot infrastructure issues, validate integrations, and support workload migrations.

• 1-3 years of VMware, virtualization, systems administration, or infrastructure engineering experience. \n

• Hands-on familiarity with VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, virtual machines, and clusters. \n

• Understanding of VMware networking, storage, and workload migration, including vMotion or Storage vMotion. \n

• Foundational knowledge of VCF, infrastructure upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management. \n

• Understanding of networking fundamentals, including VLANs, IP addressing, DNS, routing, and firewalls. \n

• Familiarity with backup, replication, disaster recovery, and Azure or AWS cloud environments. \n

• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues, follow implementation procedures, and document results. \n

• Strong communication skills and ability to work under the direction of senior engineers. \n

• Assess existing VMware environments, including virtual machines, hosts, clusters, networking, and storage. \n

• Support VCF 9 deployment, configuration, upgrades, and lifecycle management. \n

• Assist with infrastructure readiness, compatibility checks, and remediation. \n

• Execute workload migrations and perform pre- and post-migration validation. \n

• Support integrations involving networking, storage, backup, replication, disaster recovery, and cloud platforms. \n

• Monitor platform health and troubleshoot VMware configuration, connectivity, and migration issues. \n

• Maintain technical documentation, migration runbooks, validation checklists, and issue logs. \n

• Collaborate with senior architects and engineers to execute implementation plans. \n, n

• Hands-on VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) experience. \n

• Experience with enterprise storage, backup, replication, or disaster recovery platforms. \n

• Azure, AWS, or hybrid-cloud integration experience. \n

• VMware or other relevant technical certifications. \n

• Experience in government or regulated environments. \n
