Mainframe Automation / NetView Engineer - MANEDP

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Automation / NetView Engineer to support IBM z/OS environments through automation development, enterprise monitoring, event management, and operational resiliency., Administer and maintain IBM NetView for z/OS environments. Configure and support NetView automation infrastructure, definitions, policies, and operational controls. Monitor NetView performance, availability, and operational effectiveness. Develop automation solutions using REXX, CLIST, and NetView Command Lists (CMDLISTs). Create reusable automation frameworks, automated recovery procedures, and operational workflows. Implement event-driven automation, message automation, notifications, and escalation procedures. Configure and maintain Automation Tables (AUTOTBL) and message-processing rules. Develop proactive monitoring and alerting solutions to improve event correlation and reduce manual operator intervention. Support production operations, resolve incidents, and perform root cause analysis for infrastructure and automation failures. Integrate NetView automation with z/OS Communications Server, VTAM, TCP/IP, OMEGAMON, and enterprise monitoring platforms. Support automation across Sysplex environments. Collaborate with operations, network, security, and systems programming teams to improve reliability and operational resiliency.

7+ years of experience with the IBM z/OS operating system. 5+ years of IBM NetView administration and automation experience. Strong hands-on development experience with REXX, CLIST, and NetView automation. Proven experience designing event-driven operational automation solutions. Experience administering IBM NetView for z/OS, including Automation Tables (AUTOTBL), Command Lists (CMDLISTs), event management, and message automation. Experience developing automation scripts, event-processing logic, and automated recovery procedures. Strong knowledge of z/OS Communications Server, VTAM, TCP/IP, and enterprise monitoring solutions. Experience integrating NetView automation with OMEGAMON and other enterprise monitoring platforms. Demonstrated ability to support highly available enterprise mainframe environments. Strong troubleshooting, incident resolution, root cause analysis, communication, and collaboration skills. Ability to work onsite 3 days per week. Preferred Qualifications Experience with IBM System Automation for z/OS (SA z/OS). Experience supporting large-scale financial services or banking environments. Knowledge of RACF and z/OS security controls. Familiarity with ITIL processes and ServiceNow. Experience supporting 24×7 enterprise production environments. Knowledge of CICS, DB2, IMS, MQ, and related z/OS subsystems.
