Full Stack Developer

M&S Consulting is hiring a senior Full Stack Developer to drive rapid development in an AI-assisted environment. This is a senior individual-contributor role: you will set technical direction, mentor teammates, and apply strict human oversight to validate, secure, and maintain complex enterprise code produced with AI coding assistants such as Claude and Amazon Q Developer.

What You’ll Do

• Write, review, and refactor Java (Spring Boot) back-end and Angular front-end code
• Use AI tools to generate boilerplate, write unit tests, and perform application modernization tasks
• Ensure AI-generated code adheres to security, AWS cloud architecture, and PostgreSQL database standards
• Manually review, debug, and optimize code to prevent integration issues and low-quality abstractions
• Mentor teammates and help set technical direction

Active Top Secret clearance

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science
• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including work at a senior or technical-lead level
• 4+ years of experience with Java/Spring Boot
• 4+ years of experience with Angular (version 17 or higher)
• 3+ years of experience with PostgreSQL
• Experience working in AWS environments
• Demonstrated experience working in AI-assisted development workflows
• Excellent debugging and architectural design skills to steer AI agents effectively

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Docker or other containerization technologies
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment
• Experience working in Agile development environments
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills
