Data Center HVAC Supervisor

Ascension Property Services, based in Palo Alto, CA, seeks an HVAC Superintendent to oversee mission-critical HVAC systems supporting advanced IT infrastructure. In this role, you’ll supervise installations, maintenance, and upgrades for data center and office environments, ensuring reliability, energy efficiency, and code compliance. You’ll work closely with IT, software, and facilities teams, manage vendors, and drive continuous improvement. APS offers a collaborative, growth-focused culture with exposure to cutting-edge technologies and impactful projects., * Lead HVAC installations and upgrades across APS data centers and offices, ensuring reliability for mission-critical IT infrastructure

• Plan, schedule, and supervise HVAC technicians and contractors, enforcing safety and quality standards
• Collaborate with software, IT, and facilities teams to align HVAC performance with equipment and environmental requirements
• Oversee preventive maintenance programs, diagnostics, and repairs for chillers, CRAC units, and building automation systems
• Manage HVAC project budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships, including RFPs and contract oversight
• Monitor system performance using BMS/EMS tools and optimize for energy efficiency and uptime
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes, including permitting and inspections
• Maintain detailed documentation of systems, maintenance records, and standard operating procedures
• Support capacity planning for new IT deployments and facility expansions
• Mentor junior staff, fostering a culture of safety, learning, and continuous improvement
