Infrastructure Automation Engineer

job summary: We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Automation Engineer to transform and automate core infrastructure operations. You will design, build, and deploy automated solutions using Ansible, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and modern CI/CD pipelines to drive self-healing systems and standardized deployments across enterprise environments.

location: Madison, Maine job type: Contract salary: $62.25 - 72.25 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors

responsibilities:

• Design and maintain Ansible playbooks to automate operational runbooks and infrastructure provisioning.
• Standardize configuration management and deployment processes across complex IT environments.
• Integrate automation workflows with Git and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with enterprise teams to support cloud transformation and DevSecOps initiatives following standard ITIL practices.

qualifications: 5-10 years of experience in infrastructure, cloud, or technical operations.

Hands-on expertise with Ansible Automation Platform, IaC methodologies, and YAML.

Strong background in Linux system administration and Python/PowerShell scripting.

Practical experience working with CI/CD tools (Git, Azure DevOps) and ITIL operational processes.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation or HashiCorp Terraform Associate certification.

AZ-104 Microsoft Azure Administrator certification.

Proven track record in enterprise managed services or regulated environments.
