Senior Software Engineer - AI & Agentic systems

We are seeking an experienced Full-Stack Engineer with strong technical leadership capabilities to design, build, and deliver scalable, production-ready software and AI-enabled solutions. The ideal candidate will drive architectural decisions, mentor engineering teams, and work across the full technology stack to solve complex business challenges. The candidate should be based out of Madrid and open to travel.

What You Will Do Lead architecture, technology selection, and engineering best practices for enterprise applications.

Design and develop scalable full-stack solutions across frontend, backend, cloud, and data layers.

Build secure, high-performance APIs (REST/GraphQL) and distributed systems.

Architect cloud-native solutions and implement CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and deployment automation.

Develop and oversee AI-powered applications, including LLM integrations, evaluation frameworks, guardrails, and agent-based workflows.

Ensure software quality, security, scalability, and operational excellence.

Mentor engineers and promote a strong engineering culture across teams.

Collaborate with product managers, designers, business stakeholders, and client leadership to deliver measurable business value.

Bachelor´s or Master´s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

5+ years of experience developing scalable full-stack applications.

Strong expertise in modern technology stacks such as:

Frontend: React, Angular, Next.js, Vue.js, JavaScript/TypeScript

Backend: Node.js, Java/Spring, C#

Databases: SQL and NoSQL

Cloud: AWS, Azure, and/or GCP

DevOps: Docker, Jenkins, CircleCI, CI/CD tools

Experience designing secure APIs and microservices architectures.

Hands-on expertise with cloud-native architecture, IaC, and zero-downtime deployments.

Experience building AI-enabled applications, LLM-based solutions, and AI-assisted engineering workflows.

Strong understanding of application security, OAuth/OIDC, testing, and performance optimization.

Proven ability to lead cross-functional engineering teams.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills Experience working in client-facing consulting or enterprise delivery environments.

Expertise across multiple cloud platforms.

Strong knowledge of distributed systems, scalability patterns, and engineering governance.

Passion for mentoring, innovation, and continuous learning.
