Inventory Technician in Corning

• Organize, inventory, clean, and manage the five labs in the MSE department
• Work with the MSE team to assemble an extensive inventory of critical parts and assemblies and enter that information into an inventory management software solution
• Lead the department to develop and deploy novel labeling, scanning, and AI-enabled technologies to run the labs effectively and efficiently
• Serve as the go-to member of the MSE team responsible for maintaining a world-class laboratory environment
• Sort, organize, inventory, and manage lab equipment
• Enter lab equipment data into an inventory management system
• Learn, use, and train others on the inventory management system
• Look up and document equipment specifications
• Organize and manage lab space in the MSE department
• Inspect and document lab spaces for safety and generic issues
• Work with the department to keep the lab spaces clean
• Research, order, and set up laboratory equipment
• Develop new methods involving AI to find equipment that enables building and prototyping cutting-edge equipment
• Provide support to engineers who use the five labs
• Process and implement safe lab protocols and equipment
