Job Description: Test Engineer

We are looking for a detail-oriented Test Engineer to ensure the quality, functionality, and reliability of our software applications. The ideal candidate should have experience in manual testing, test case design, defect reporting, and regression testing, with basic knowledge of automation testing., 1. Analyze business requirements and prepare test scenarios and test cases.

1. Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and sanity testing.
2. Execute test cases and identify, document, and track defects.
3. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product teams to resolve issues.
4. Validate application functionality across different browsers and devices.
5. Perform API testing using tools such as Postman.
6. Maintain test documentation and provide regular testing status updates.
7. Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and daily stand-up meetings.
8. Support automation testing initiatives and identify opportunities to improve test coverage.

1. 3-5 years of experience in software testing.
2. Strong knowledge of manual testing concepts and the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
3. Experience in writing test cases, test scenarios, and defect reports.
4. Understanding of defect life cycle and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
5. Experience with bug-tracking tools such as Jira.
6. Basic knowledge of SQL and database testing.
7. Familiarity with API testing and Postman.
8. Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

1. Basic knowledge of Selenium WebDriver and Java.
2. Experience with automation frameworks.
3. Knowledge of Git and CI/CD tools.
4. Understanding of performance and security testing concepts.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
