Mainframe Engineer

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance mainframe applications using COBOL.
• Develop and maintain batch jobs, procedures, and workflows using JCL.
• Work with DB2 databases, including SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
• Develop and support online transaction processing applications using CICS.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement fixes.
• Conduct unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and code reviews.
• Optimize application performance and ensure system reliability.
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, architects, and other developers.
• Prepare technical documentation and follow established development standards.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Mainframe Developer with strong expertise in IBM Mainframe technologies, application development, maintenance, and production support. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS, along with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and support enterprise-level applications., * Strong hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS.

• Experience with IBM z/OS mainframe environments.
• Knowledge of VSAM files and mainframe batch processing.
• Experience with job scheduling tools such as Control-M or CA-7.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and production support skills.
• Experience with mainframe testing, release management, and change management.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with IBM utilities, TSO/ISPF, and mainframe development tools.
• Knowledge of IMS, MQ, or other mainframe technologies.
• Experience in Agile development environments.
• Domain experience in banking, financial services, insurance, or other enterprise environments is a plus.
