Job Summary: Client is seeking an experienced Security Data Science Specialist / Data Analyst to support its Office of Security with data collection, analysis, reporting, and dashboard development. The consultant will analyze fare evasion, crime-related, and security operational data across Client agencies, using SQL, Python, relational databases, and Power BI to generate actionable insights and support management decisions., * Collect, compile, validate, and analyze fare evasion, crime-related, and security operational data from multiple Client agencies.

• Use SQL and Python to process large datasets, identify trends, and generate actionable insights.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
• Integrate data from relational databases, spreadsheets, internal systems, and cloud-based sources.
• Perform data cleansing, transformation, and validation to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Analyze security incidents, operational statistics, and historical trends to support decision-making.
• Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, security teams, and management to gather reporting requirements.
• Translate business requirements into dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve data processes, reporting efficiency, and system performance.
• Maintain documentation for data models, reporting specifications, and standard operating procedures.
• Ensure data confidentiality, security, and compliance with applicable policies.
• Present analytical findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• 6+ years of relevant professional experience in data analysis, reporting, or database technologies.
• 4+ years of experience developing reports and dashboards.
• 4+ years of experience working with relational databases and data management technologies.
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL and Python for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
• Experience developing dashboards and visual reports using Microsoft Power BI.
• Experience integrating, cleaning, validating, and organizing data from multiple sources.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project.
• Experience analyzing large datasets and presenting findings to business stakeholders.
• Strong documentation, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced security environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field., * Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300).
• Previous experience working with MTA or NJ Transit.
• Experience in transportation, railroads, public transit, or public-sector environments.
• Experience analyzing security incidents, crime statistics, or fare evasion data.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data sources and relational database integration.
• Experience supporting operational reporting and executive dashboards.
