Security Analyst

STAFFXPERT is seeking a Junior Security Analyst to support cybersecurity initiatives involving AI/ML-based threat detection, security log analysis, anomaly detection, and automation. The candidate will work closely with senior security engineers and enterprise architects to develop and maintain security tools and improve security operations. Responsibilities Assist in developing, tuning, and monitoring AI/ML models for threat detection and log analysis. Prepare and label security logs, alerts, and telemetry for model training. Develop Python scripts to automate security workflows. Integrate AI tools into existing security pipelines. Document technical processes, models, and data sources.

Working knowledge of Python programming. Basic understanding of cybersecurity, networking, security logs, and common threats. Interest in AI/ML applications in cybersecurity. Exposure to SIEM/SOAR platforms or cloud environments. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Nice to Have Experience with scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow. Security+ or AZ-900 certification. Recruiter Note: Prioritize local NYC candidates with Python and cybersecurity fundamentals. AI/ML exposure and utilities experience are preferred.
