Application Programmer

The job role will involve the development, maintenance and support of Oracle Exadata / Python / Hadoop based applications with in the Global markets technology environment. An enterprise wide platform hosts very large volumes of trade positions and reference data that supports business functions including Credit risk, Margin, Regulatory, compliance, client valuations, treasury and finance. The candidate should expect to contribute to design discussions with the other members of the development team, conform to team process, including test-driven development and source code control practices, and have the confidence to interact directly with user when trouble shooting any issues with the production system. The candidate should be equally comfortable working closely with the lead developer and independently under their own initiative

The candidate should be equally comfortable working closely with the lead developer and independently under their own initiative, Minimum 8+ years of experience (10+ preferred), including at least 5 years in Oracle Exadata development with python role within a financial institution.

• Strong PL/SQL coding, oracle performance analysis skills with API development work with python is mandatory.
