C#/.NET Developer

We are looking for a Senior Software Developer to design, build, maintain and modernise enterprise business applications. You will keep existing applications running on C#, ASP.NET MVC, Razor (CSHTML), jQuery, DataTables and SQL Server, while helping to build new cloud-native solutions with the latest .NET, Vue.js and Azure.

You will work across the full stack, from Back End and Front End to database and cloud.

What you will do

• Develop, maintain and enhance ASP.NET MVC and C# applications, including user interfaces built with CSHTML, JavaScript, jQuery and DataTables.
• Troubleshoot and resolve defects, performance issues and production incidents, and refactor Legacy code to make it easier to maintain.
• Design, develop and maintain SQL Server databases, including stored procedures, views, functions and queries, and tune performance through indexing and query optimisation.
• Build cloud-based applications with modern C# and .NET, Vue.js front ends, RESTful APIs and Back End services.
• Take part in moving applications and services from on-premises infrastructure to Microsoft Azure, and support deployment, configuration and monitoring of Azure-hosted services and databases.
• Help define cloud architecture standards and best practice.
• Take part in code reviews, write technical and design documentation, and work with business analysts, stakeholders and QA.
• Support Agile delivery, including sprint planning, estimation and retrospectives.

• Strong hands-on experience with C#, .NET Framework, ASP.NET MVC, Razor (CSHTML), JavaScript, jQuery and DataTables.
• Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL, and Git source control.
• Proven experience developing and supporting enterprise-scale applications.
• Experience working across both Legacy and modern technology stacks.
• The ability to analyse business requirements and turn them into technical solutions.
• A solid grasp of the software development lifecycle and good engineering practice.
• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or equivalent experience.

Preferred

• .NET 8 or later, ASP.NET Core and Entity Framework.
• Vue.js and REST API design.
• Microsoft Azure, Azure SQL Database and Azure DevOps.
• CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native application development.
