Design Engineer

Are you an experienced Design Engineer with a background in Gas Turbines, Aerospace, or Power Generation? If so, we’d love to hear from you. Belcan is expanding its engineering team in Glasgow and is looking for a talented Product Definition Engineers (PDE) or Component Design Engineers to join us on a permanent basis. You’ll become part of a highly experienced team that delivers world-class engineering solutions for some of the most advanced gas turbine programmes in the industry. What You’ll Be Doing As a Design Engineer, you’ll play a key role in the development of innovative gas turbine components and subsystems, working on cutting-edge engine programmes. Your responsibilities will include:

• Creating detailed component and subsystem designs for advanced gas turbine engines.
• Supporting design release activities throughout the product lifecycle.
• Working through gated design review processes and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
• Translating technical requirements into practical engineering solutions.
• Using industry-leading design tools including Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
• Contributing to challenging projects within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

• HNC, HND or Degree qualification in Mechanical, Aeronautical or a related Engineering discipline (or equivalent industry experience)
• Experience in Gas Turbine design within Aerospace or Power Generation
• Strong capability in component and/or subsystem design
• Experience using Siemens NX and Teamcenter
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with customers and internal engineering teams
• A collaborative mindset and a passion for engineering excellence
