Senior SAP SD/MM Consultant (USA /CANADA)

We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP SD/MM Functional Consultant with strong hands-on expertise in SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) and Materials Management (MM). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SAP configuration, implementation, business process integration, testing, and production support.

The consultant must have a strong understanding of end-to-end Order-to-Cash (OTC) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes, including integration with SAP FI/CO and PP. Experience supporting SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration and transformation projects is essential.

The role involves working closely with business stakeholders, functional teams, and technical teams to deliver effective SAP solutions, optimize business processes, and ensure successful implementations and system upgrades., 1. SAP SD/MM Functional Configuration and Implementation

• Lead and support end-to-end SAP SD and MM business processes.

• Configure and maintain SAP SD functionalities, including:

• Sales orders, deliveries, billing, and invoicing.
• Pricing and condition techniques.
• Sales document types, item categories, and schedule line categories.
• Billing types, copy controls, and output determination.
• Returns and order management.

Configure and support SAP MM functionalities, including:

• Purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
• Purchasing document types and release strategies.
• Goods receipts, goods movements, and inventory management.
• Stock transfers and inventory valuation.
• Automatic account determination.

Analyze business requirements and translate them into appropriate SAP functional solutions.

Identify opportunities to improve and optimize existing business processes.

1. Cross-Functional Business Process Integration * Support integration between SAP SD/MM and SAP FI/CO for:

• Automatic accounting postings.
• Billing and invoice accounting.
• Tax and account determination.
• Inventory valuation and financial postings.

Collaborate with SAP PP teams on production-related procurement and material management processes.

Support cross-functional scenarios, including:

• Intercompany sales and transactions.
• Third-party processing and drop shipments.
• Subcontracting.
• Stock Transport Orders (STO).
• Returns and inventory transfers.

Troubleshoot functional integration issues and coordinate with relevant teams for resolution.

Participate in business workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, and solution design discussions.

1. SAP ECC to S/4HANA Migration and Transformation * Support SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration, conversion, and transformation initiatives from a functional perspective. * Assess existing ECC SD/MM processes and identify required changes for S/4HANA. * Support migration, validation, and reconciliation of SD/MM master and transactional data. * Understand and support S/4HANA functionality related to:

• Business Partner and customer/vendor master data.
• Advanced Available-to-Promise (aATP).
• Condition Contract Management.
• Inventory management and procurement.
• Sales and order management.

Conduct fit-gap analysis and recommend SAP standard functionality and best practices.

Support functional testing, cutover planning, go-live activities, and post-go-live stabilization.

1. Testing, Production Support, and Documentation * Develop and execute functional test scenarios and test cases for SAP SD/MM processes. * Support unit testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), regression testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). * Analyze functional defects and coordinate with technical teams for resolution. * Provide production support and troubleshoot SAP SD/MM issues. * Prepare functional specifications, configuration documents, process flows, and user training materials. * Support business users during UAT, cutover, go-live, and hypercare. * Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements.

• 10+ years of overall SAP experience, with at least 8 years of hands-on SAP SD/MM functional experience.
• Strong hands-on expertise in SAP SD and MM configuration and implementation.
• Extensive knowledge of end-to-end Order-to-Cash (OTC) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
• Practical experience with sales orders, pricing, deliveries, billing, returns, purchasing, goods receipts, inventory management, and stock transfers.
• Strong understanding of SAP SD/MM integration with FI/CO and PP.
• Experience working in both SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Hands-on functional experience supporting ECC to S/4HANA migration or transformation projects.
• Knowledge of SD/MM master data, transactional data, and data migration processes.
• Experience with functional testing, UAT, cutover, go-live, and production support.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to gather business requirements and translate them into functional SAP solutions.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, cross-functional project environment., * Experience with SAP S/4HANA Sales and Procurement.
• Exposure to SAP Advanced ATP (aATP) and Condition Contract Management.
• Experience with SAP Fiori applications for SD/MM.
• Knowledge of intercompany sales, third-party processing, subcontracting, drop shipments, and Stock Transport Orders.
• Exposure to S/4HANA embedded analytics and business process optimization.
• SAP SD, SAP MM, or S/4HANA certification is an advantage.
• Experience with large-scale SAP implementations, rollouts, upgrades, and transformation programs.
