QA Automation Engineer

We have partnered with our client in their search for a QA Automation Engineer in Wilmington, DE for a 12+ month contract opportunity. This team handles intern verification and rewards. Pure backend API test automation: automate the APIs that the client’s UI depends on. End-to-end API automation only (no UI automation or manual testing currently).

• ~90% writing/automating test cases; ~10% coordinating with internal developers (or other teams) for clarification or to resolve issues.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and be largely self-sufficient after onboarding.
• Prior API automation experience and relevant company background are what stand out

Skills Required

• Primary stack: Cucumber + Java.
• Bruno used for some manual verification (nice-to-have, not required).
• Open to strong coders in any language (Java, Python, etc.); ability to code matters more than specific language.
• CI/CD exposure helpful but not required.
• Cloud exposure is a plus, not mandatory.
• Must be able to write real code (will be assessed in interviews).

Education & Work Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 3-7 years or experience
