Job description

Devonshire Hayes is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to help build and improve data observability, data quality and platform capabilities, enabling data engineering teams to deliver reliable, efficient pipelines., * Build out a data observability platform to provide tracking, control, operational monitoring and visibility across end-to-end data pipelines and data usage.

Develop reusable data quality components and frameworks to identify, investigate and resolve data quality issues.
Monitor and optimise Snowflake performance and costs.
Create reusable components and frameworks to support data engineering teams.
Support and manage data platforms, including Snowflake, Talend, Matillion, ThoughtSpot, Power BI and Ataccama.

Requirements

Strong data expertise, with hands-on experience building data pipelines.
Strong SQL skills and practical Python experience.
Experience supporting and managing data software platforms.
Experience with data observability, data quality and performance management.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Desirable experience:

Familiarity with Snowflake, Talend, Matillion, ThoughtSpot, Power BI and/or Ataccama.
Linux and Terraform.
Software development experience.
