Job description

SAIC is seeking a Cloud Computing Engineer to serve as a senior DevSecOps engineer supporting mission systems operating in DoD IL5 and higher environments. This role will lead the design, implementation, and sustainment of secure, automated software delivery pipelines and cloud infrastructure for critical national security customers, with a focus on AWS services (including AppStream 2.0) and integration with Keycloak.

The Cloud Engineer acts as a technical leader and subject matter expert, partnering with government stakeholders, solution architects, cyber, and development teams to deliver scalable, resilient, and compliant AWS solutions in development, test, and production environments.

Key Responsibilities include: serve as the senior DevSecOps/Cloud engineer for AWS-based solutions in IL5+ and classified environments. Define cloud-native architectures, deployment patterns, and CI/CD strategies aligned with customer mission, DoD Cloud Computing SRG, and RMF requirements. Provide technical guidance, design reviews, and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers. Engineer and support Amazon AppStream 2.0 environments, including image creation, fleet and stack configuration, user access models, scaling policies, and integration with enterprise identity providers, to include high availability. Lead the design and implementation of secure CI/CD pipelines for apps (including AppStream-backed workloads), and other mission applications. Integrate automated build, test, code quality, and deployment stages supporting multiple environments (dev/test/stage/prod) across unclassified and classified enclaves. Design and maintain containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes/EKS or on-prem Kubernetes/OpenShift clusters. Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, and best practices.
