Mid-Level Data Migration Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Mid-Level Data Migration Engineer to support a company focused on large-scale federal modernization and cloud transformation initiatives. This position is on-site at Huntsville, AL . The Mid-Level Data Migration Engineer will support the extraction, transformation, validation, and migration of mission-critical data from legacy systems into modern cloud environments. This role plays a key part in ensuring data integrity, operational readiness, and successful modernization outcomes for federal customers. Join a team driving complex data migration efforts that directly support critical government missions and next-generation technology adoption., * Support the development, execution, and maintenance of ETL workflows for large-scale data migration initiatives.

• Perform data extraction, transformation, cleansing, normalization, and validation activities across structured and unstructured datasets.
• Conduct data mapping between legacy systems and target environments while validating schema integrity and migration accuracy.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, DevSecOps teams, QA personnel, and cloud architects to support migration readiness and testing efforts.
• Maintain migration documentation, generate status reports, and identify risks or dependencies that impact migration success.

• 4+ years of experience supporting data migration, ETL processes, data engineering, or related data operations.
• Experience with ETL tools, scripting languages, data transformation processes, and pipeline automation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and data validation skills with experience handling structured and unstructured datasets.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Active Top Secret Security Clearance and U.S. Citizenship required.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000
