Job description
Seeking a Senior Business Analyst (GIS) to assess business needs, design enterprise GIS solutions, improve integrations, and drive data-focused strategies that support operational efficiency and decision-making. Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate GIS applications, data, and processes for improvement and modernization
- Translate business needs into GIS solution and integration requirements
- Develop roadmaps, standards, and technical recommendations
- Improve GIS integrations with enterprise systems
- Support data quality, governance, and reuse
- Identify risks, dependencies, and practical mitigation strategies
- Prepare clear documentation and presentations for leadership and stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- 7+ years of GIS, business analysis, and solution design experience
- Expertise in ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, GIS services, APIs, and spatial data
- Strong knowledge of SQL, data modeling, relational/spatial databases, and REST APIs
- Experience integrating GIS with enterprise platforms
- Strong communication, documentation, and multi-project management skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Python, JavaScript, cloud technologies, and GIS automation
- Esri certification
- ArcGIS or enterprise asset management certification
- Experience with HRMS, ERP, and asset management systems
