Job description

As a Senior Salesforce Engineer, you will drive the design, development, and tier-II production support for enterprise-scale CRM applications across core sales and service technology portfolios. You will work within a mission-critical retail ecosystem that connects customer-facing capabilities with backend enterprise data platforms. In this role, you will lead end-to-end technical implementations, establish architectural best practices, evaluate design tradeoffs, and partner with cross-functional architecture, product, and engineering teams to ensure resilient, secure, and high-availability operations.

Responsibilities

Architect, design, and implement end-to-end CRM solutions on the Salesforce platform, ensuring seamless integration with enterprise backend systems.

Lead technical design reviews, deliver accurate sizing and estimations, assess technical risks, and align solutions with enterprise security standards.

Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance, troubleshoot complex code-level issues, and champion Salesforce engineering best practices.

Perform application change impact analysis, evaluate system architecture proactively, and optimize continuous deployment and operational processes.

Partner with engineering leads, product managers, quality assurance teams, and enterprise architects in a fast-paced Agile delivery environment.

Mentor and coach junior developers, fostering an engineering culture focused on clean code, test coverage, and low defect rates.

Participate in on-call rotations to deliver Tier-II production support, ensuring 24x7 operational reliability across high-availability production environments.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.

5+ years of hands-on experience in Salesforce architecture, design, and custom software development.

Demonstrated expertise in Salesforce core development technologies: Apex (classes, triggers, batch jobs), Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC) / Aura frameworks, and native configurations/workflows.

Proven experience integrating Salesforce with distributed enterprise backend systems utilizing synchronous and asynchronous integration patterns (REST/SOAP APIs, event-driven architectures).

Experience with automated build, CI/CD pipelines, and modern source-driven deployment tools.

Hands-on proficiency with relational databases (writing and optimizing SQL scripts) and working in Unix/Linux operating environments.

Willingness and availability to participate in on-call support rotations for high-availability enterprise applications.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience leading enterprise-scale Salesforce implementation projects from conceptual design through deployment.

Familiarity with the Java/J2EE technology stack and distributed systems architecture.

In-depth understanding of enterprise security mechanisms (OAuth, SSO, mutual TLS, identity management, and platform data encryption).

Background delivering software in Scrum/Agile environments using modern project tracking and collaboration tools.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and system debugging skills with large-scale distributed architectures.

Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills, with a proven ability to translate complex technical workflows to non-technical stakeholders.
