Data Center Technician

• Install cable pathways, ladder racks, fiber trays, and supporting infrastructure.
• Perform rack-and-stack activities and cable routing within data center environments.
• Read and interpret blueprints, cable schedules, and network diagrams.
• Ensure work is completed according to project schedules and quality standards.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

• Assist with fiber termination, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
• Utilize testing equipment such as OTDRs, power meters, and visual fault locators (VFLs).
• Identify and help resolve connectivity and cabling issues.
• Maintain proper cable labeling, management, and documentation standards.
• Support quality control efforts to ensure installations meet project specifications.

Safety & Compliance

• Maintain a strong commitment to safety and OSHA compliance.
• Follow site-specific safety requirements and utilize proper PPE.
• Identify potential job-site hazards and assist in implementing corrective actions.
• Promote safe work practices and a team-first mentality.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate installation records and test documentation.
• Complete daily reports and progress updates.
• Assist with project closeout and as-built documentation.

Fiber Optics Cable Routing Detail Oriented Quality Control Project Closure, * Experience in data centers, telecommunications, structured cabling, low-voltage systems, construction, or related field work.

• Familiarity with fiber optic and Cat5/Cat6 cabling installations.
• Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and project documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Comfortable working in active construction and data center environments.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining productivity independently., Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
