Job description

As a Software Developer - Aviation Training & E-Learning Systems, you support the development of digital training solutions within our aviation training department. The role combines software development, e-learning development, and the creation of aviation training content. You will develop computer-based training for aircraft systems, pilot and flight training modules, and aircraft maintenance training. Depending on workload, project priorities, and technical requirements, you may also contribute to other internal software development projects.

The ideal candidate is able to transform complex technical aviation topics into clear, interactive, and effective digital training modules, while also supporting software-related tasks when required.

Your Responsibilities

  • Creating training scenarios from scratch, writing training texts, and defining required images and visual elements
  • Designing and developing interactive learning modules using Adobe Captivate
  • Supporting the future development of custom HTML-based training modules, including interactive course elements, animations, and custom scripts (JavaScript)
  • Defining visual requirements for graphics, diagrams, animations, and interactive elements
  • Converting complex technical information into clear, engaging training content
  • Close collaboration with graphic designers, subject matter experts, instructors, pilots, maintenance specialists, and software development teams
  • Supporting full-stack software development tasks (front-end, back-end, database, API, or internal tool development) depending on project needs

Requirements

Do you have experience in JavaScript?, * Experience in developing computer-based training (CBT) or e-learning content

  • Good knowledge of Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline / Articulate 360, or similar authoring tools
  • Practical knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Ability to design interactive training modules, animations, quizzes, and scenario-based learning elements
  • Basic understanding of SCORM and xAPI course data standards
  • Ability to convert complex technical information into clear training content
  • Experience or interest in supporting full-stack software development tasks, depending on project needs
  • Structured, creative, and solution-oriented working style
  • Good communication skills in English and German, both written and spoken
