IAM Cyber Engineer

Leidos’ Identity Access Management (IAM) team is seeking an experienced IAM Cyber Engineer to serve as a technical leader supporting enterprise identity security initiatives across multiple programs. This role is responsible for integrating IAM architecture and engineering practices throughout the IT lifecycle, ensuring secure, scalable, and resilient identity solutions.\n \n The IAM Cyber Engineer will apply advanced cybersecurity principles to complex technical challenges that span multiple disciplines and programs. This individual will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, developers, internal stakeholders, and client teams to design and implement innovative solutions that achieve mission and business objectives.\n

This role requires strong technical depth, creativity, and the ability to develop solutions to complex problems with broad organizational impact.\n, * Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field. Equivalent relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.\n

• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in Information Technology or a related discipline\n
• Minimum of 2+ years of Microsoft Active Directory experience\n
• Minimum of 2+ years of Microsoft Entra Active Directory experience\n
• Strong experience with Identity Governance Administration and Lifecycle Management processes and toolsets\n
• Experience with authentication and authorization technologies and protocols, including:\n, * Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders\n
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.\n, * 2+ years of experience with Identity Governance Administration platforms and process implementation\n
• Experience with Okta\n
• Relevant certifications such as MCSE, MCITP, MCTS, and/or SANS certifications\n, * Ability to solve complex technical problems impacting multiple areas or disciplines\n
• Strong analytical thinking and creative problem-solving skills\n
• Experience leading technical efforts with measurable program impact\n
• A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to drive initiatives forward\n

• Embed secure design principles into software and hardware components across the IT lifecycle to support IGA and LCM processes\n
• Develop and implement solutions that address complex identity and access challenges across enterprise environments\n
• Support emerging authentication standards and evolving security frameworks\n

• Serve as a technical leader across multiple programs, driving IAM strategy and engineering excellence\n
• Communicate effectively with internal technical teams and client stakeholders\n
• Provide technical planning, system design, development, integration, verification, and validation support\n
• Develop innovative solutions to achieve functional and program objectives\n
• Support escalations from operational teams\n
