Solution Architect

• Develop, review and assure key architecture artefacts, including High-Level Designs, Technical Options Papers and Key Design Decisions.
• Work closely with engineering teams, taking a lead subject matter expert role to define architectural vision and establish architectural guardrails.
• Support senior stakeholders in developing business cases for change, including cost estimation and detailed delivery planning.
• Apply architecture and delivery methodologies to design robust, scalable and secure technology solutions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to solve complex technical and business problems.
• Contribute to agile delivery practices across client engagements and internal projects.
• Promote technical excellence, continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across the wider technology community.
• Work across different architectural domains, ensuring solutions meet business, data, application, technology and security requirements.

• A strong hands-on software engineering background, with experience leading engineering teams in the delivery of applications and services.
• A solid understanding of solution architecture, software delivery and architectural methodologies.
• Experience across multiple architectural domains, with specialist expertise in at least one of the following: Business, Data, Application, Technology or Security Architecture.
• Experience working with cloud technologies and modern technology platforms.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
• A proactive approach to continuous learning, professional development and technical improvement.

Technical Skills and Technologies

Experience with a range of the following technologies, frameworks and tools would be advantageous:

• Cloud platforms: AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Architecture frameworks: TOGAF, Zachman and MODAF.
• Agile methodologies: SAFe, Scrum and Kanban.
• Modelling tools: UML, ArchiMate and Ardoq.
• Enterprise technology platforms: Oracle, IBM and Salesforce.

Relevant certifications in architecture frameworks, cloud platforms or associated technologies are beneficial.
