Solution Architect Remote

We’re supporting a global technology consultancy delivering a major public sector programme and are looking for an experienced Solution Architect to lead the assessment and future direction of a business-critical digital alerting service.

This is an opportunity to shape the future of a high-profile platform by addressing security vulnerabilities, technical debt, resilience challenges, and supportability risks while helping define a clear roadmap for remediation and modernisation.

The Role

You’ll conduct a comprehensive architectural review of the service, assessing its current architecture, integrations, hosting arrangements, operational model, and security posture.

Working closely with technical and business stakeholders, you’ll identify risks, evaluate potential solutions, and recommend the most effective architectural approach.

Key areas of focus include:

• Cloud infrastructure and hosting
• Security vulnerabilities and technical debt
• Identity & access management
• Secrets management
• Data protection and compliance
• Service resilience and operational supportability
• Architecture governance and service design engagement

You’ll evaluate options ranging from remediation of the existing solution through to modernisation and potential future replacement strategies, assessing the costs, benefits, risks, and delivery impacts of each.

We’re looking for someone with:

• Extensive experience as a Solution Architect within complex enterprise environments
• Strong cloud architecture and security expertise
• Experience leading architecture reviews and technical assessments
• Knowledge of resilience, operational support, and governance frameworks
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills

Desirable

• Public sector or regulated industry experience
• Experience with cloud databases, enterprise integrations, and secure-by-design principles
• Background in service transition or operational readiness
