Lead / Senior Data Engineer - Microsoft Fabric & Power Bi - Remote Europe

We are looking for aSenior Data Engineerto lead end-to-end data projects usingMicrosoft Fabric, Azure Synapse and Power BI, from requirements analysis and data modelling through data engineering, reporting and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).You will combine hands-on data engineering and BI development with leadership of a small team of2-3 developers, delivering data solutions across multiple business areas.Tasks and ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end data projects, translating business requirements into scalabledata models, pipelines and Power BI solutions;Develop data solutions usingMicrosoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, SQL and PySpark;Design database schemas and implementData Vault and dimensional data models;Build and maintain complexPower BI dashboards and reports, supporting UAT and production deployment;Develop and optimize data pipelines, data quality controls, SQL queries and processing workflows;Ensure solutions meet requirements for performance, scalability, security and data governance;Lead a small team of developers, coordinating priorities, workload and technical delivery while providing mentoring and guidance;Collaborate with architects, data scientists, analysts and business stakeholders and promote data engineering and self-service analytics best practices.ProfileBachelor’s or Master’s degree;7+ years of progressively responsible experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on data modelling;4+ years of experience in data engineering with Microsoft Fabric or Azure Synapse and report development with Power BI;Strong expertise in theMicrosoft data stack, particularly Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics and Power BI;Proven experience implementingData Lake and Data Lakehouse architecturesand working with large datasets and data pipelines;Strong experience withData Vault and dimensional data modelling;Proficiency inSQL and Python, with experience developing data solutions using PySpark;Experience with data governance, data security, Azure cloud architecture and CI/CD for data workflows;Proven experience leading a data, data science or similar technical team, including direct reports, mentoring and technical project delivery;Experience developingPower BI reports, including Paginated Reports or SSRS.Experience withApache Spark, Databricks, Snowflake, Azure DevOps, big data technologies, AI-assisted development or AI/ML techniqueswould be an advantage.#J-*****-Ljbffr
