Journeyman Electrician - Data Center & Smart Building Systems

Ascension Property Services, based in Palo Alto, CA, seeks a Journeyman Electrician to support IT-focused facilities and infrastructure. You will install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems powering data centers, server rooms, and smart building technologies. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, running conduit, panel work, and ensuring NEC and local code compliance. You’ll collaborate with software, IT, and facilities teams to support reliable, safe power for high-availability systems. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams
• Run conduit, pull wire, and terminate panels, switchgear, and related equipment
• Troubleshoot electrical issues to minimize downtime of IT and building systems
• Ensure all work complies with NEC, local codes, and safety standards
• Collaborate with IT, software, and facilities teams on power needs for equipment
• Perform routine inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance
• Document work performed, materials used, and system configurations
• Support installation of smart building, automation, and low-voltage systems
• Respond to emergency electrical issues and participate in on-call rotation

• Commercial electrical installation
